Which diet is better for acid reflux?

I have worked with acid reflux for more than a year and last month I was diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus. I'm on Prevacid for a year. I was told by my gastroenterologist that I had to keep on Prevacid for the rest of my life. I have read on different diets. I have read that an alkaline diet is good for people who suffer from digestive problems. I also read an article about how a gluten-free diet may help people with Barrett's esophagus (the article I read about gluten-free diet is not known or investigated) So my question is what diet works best for someone with Barrett's esophagus? Alkaline diet or gluten-free diet? Crohn's disease are helped by the gluten-free diet, it does not hurt to try. but the problem (and maybe me) is caused by Gerd, self-care and nutrition are well known. I've seen reports that the gluten-free diet may in some cases of acid reflux (which is the cause of the symptom complex called Barrett's esophagus), certainly can not hurt to try a couple of weeks. If this fails, you have not missed much. Alkaline diet can cause health problems in the future, the natural balance of stomach acid. In any case, Prevacid is intended to prevent the production of stomach acid (which will make it difficult to digest foods, such as the acid is part of the process), then it would be if an invention-which has done so much. You should avoid fatty foods, eat small meals and increase consumption of fruits and vegetables. This also applies if you go for gluten-free diet. If you eat fatty foods, they do after about 13 hours. Keep a food diary where you write down everything you eat and every time there is acid reflux. Remember that it takes 36 hours to digest food completely, so you can find something you ate yesterday affect today, you need not worry about what to eat. In fact, restrictions on the food you eat does not solve the acid reflux disease. To stop eating restrictions, reflux back. This is the same for drugs as well. Help prevent symptoms, but only so long as you keep taking them. When you stop taking them, reflux back. If you want to find a home remedy for the visit http://banishacidreflux.com murderer of acid reflux.
