A typical diet for sufferers of acid reflux.?

I quite often suffer from acid reflux, more than likely because of my poor choices when it comes to eating and drinking (the majority of the time I must admit). I've searched Yahoo Answers and search for different typical GERD diet to prevent acid reflux, but I think they are very specific to say mostly "low fat", "no-fried". Can anyone give alsjeblief a typical diet? one days worth? a week? Also I read drinking water helps relieve pain caused by Gerd but I think that sometimes makes it worse.I not want to resort to taking medication for this problem. The more natural the better. :) Hope someone can help. Thanks x Au. I have never sur reflux.hey I chew my food properly. I counted to 120 chews before swallowing fun.
